Reading FC star Tyler Bindon has been recognised for his outstanding performances this campaign having been nominated for the League One Young Player of the Season Award.
The 20-year-old defender has had another exceptional season for the Royals and has played 40 games for Reading in League One this season.
Since joining the club from Los Angeles FC in 2023, Bindon has become a pivotal player for Reading having broken into the team under Ruben Selles early last season.
His impressive performances saw him win the attention of several big teams across the Championship and Premier League.
Having been subject to transfer interest from numerous teams, Premier League high flyers Nottingham Forest won the race to sign Bindon in January.
Having secured his permanent future away from the club, Bindon returned to Reading for the remainder of the season on loan.
The centre-back has not only impressed for Reading, but also on the international stage.
He has won 15 caps and scored three times for New Zealand as he helped his nation qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The other players nominated for the award are Louie Barry and Richard Kone.
Barry spent the first half of the season on loan from Aston Villa at Stockport County and scored 15 times in 23 games before joining Hull City on loan in January.
Meanwhile, Wycombe Wanderers’ striker Kone has netted 18 times in 38 matches to help the Chairboys in their push for promotion.
