Reading FC have completed the permanent signing of young midfielder Charlie Savage from Manchester United.
The 20-year-old joins the Royals on a four year deal, with United believed to have a significant sell on clause.
Savage has been deployed as a ball playing midfielder and has also been credited for his ability to be used as a defensive midfielder.
He made one senior appearance for the Red Devils as a late substitute in a Champions League group game against Swiss side Young Boys.
Savage then got a taste of senior football during a loan spell at League One side Forest Green Rovers last season.
With the side locked in a relegation battle, Savage joined Forest Green in January.
Despite not ultimately being able to help save the team from relegation, Savage impressed with his performances and played 15 league games and scored one goal.
Savage, who is the son of former Wales international Robbie Savage, has also represented Wales at four different age groups.
He currently has two appearances for Wales U21s and is hopeful of breaking into the senior team in the future.
