Reading FC Women provided a positive medical update regarding player Keren Banduka following an incident during their match against Southampton at the weekend.
Banduka was involved in a medical incident during the match in which she collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital.
The players from both teams returned to the changing rooms while paramedics treated Banduka before she was taken to hospital. The match was subsequently abandoned.
A statement from Reading FC Women said: “We are pleased to provide a positive update regarding Keren Banduka, who was involved in a medical incident during the match against Southampton Women.
“Following a thorough assessment, she has now been discharged and is now at home recovering.
“We would like to thank the medical staff from both clubs and the responding paramedics for their immediate and professional attention.”
