Reading FC manager reflected on his team’s play-off hopes after they could only manage a goalless draw against relegation battling Northampton Town.
Despite the draw, the Royals stay in the top six and have a three point gap over 7th placed Leyton Orient as other results went Reading’s way with defeats for both Huddersfield Town and Bolton Wanderers.
Hunt spoke to the club’s official channels, reflecting on the draw and said: “Tough game, we knew it would be. They are fighting for their lives so we knew it would be a tough game. It wasn’t to be, but we take the point and move on.
“We’re in a good place, we’re up there still and we’re going to do everything we can to be up and around there. We take the positives, it was a battling performance and a clean sheet. We rest up and look forward to next week.
“We’re going to keep going. Five games in two weeks it’s not easy for these lads, the adrenaline the fans give us, they’re brilliant, we’re really proud of our fans.
“We will assess the squad and the knocks. We’ve got a bit of illness which will hopefully take care of itself over the next few days, a few of the boys had flu-like symptoms so to get through the game they’ve done great.
“We need to prepare properly, Lincoln have got a good side, a strong squad so we need to do our homework.”
