Reading FC legends Glen Little and Nicky Shorey are joining forces for a special event early next year, to mark the 20th anniversary of the club’s record-breaking Championship title win.
Little and Shorey were key players for Reading as they won the Championship title in 2006 with a record 106 points.
The duo remain good friends and, on Sunday, February 22, they will be the special guests for a live and exclusive online Q&A event.
They will recall their memories of the record-breaking 106 season – which saw Reading promoted to the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.
The duo will also look back at Reading’s exploits the following season – which saw Reading finish eighth in the Premier League and miss out on a European place by just one point.
“It was an amazing time to be at Reading and the Q&A will be a chance for us to look back on some of our best memories from those two seasons,” said Little.
Shorey became the first Reading player to represent England for more than 100 years and represented his country in the first match at the new Wembley stadium for a game against Brazil in 2007 – lining up alongside the likes of David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Michael Owen.
“We went into every game during the 106 season expecting to win,” he said. “The confidence throughout the team was sky high and once we built up some momentum, there was no stopping us.”
The online Q&A with Little and Shorey on Sunday, February 22 starts at 3pm – and there will also be an opportunity for fans to speak directly to the two Reading FC legends and ask them questions.
Tickets for the online Q&A are £5 each. To enquire about tickets, you can send a WhatsApp message to 07842 627548.
