READING FC has confirmed that goalkeeper Jokull Andresson has departed to join Carlisle United on loan for the season.
While he goes out on loan for the season, Andresson has penned a new deal with Reading that will keep him at the club until 2025.
The Royals shot stopper has been out on numerous loan spells during his career and now joins the League One side for the 2023/24 campaign.
Andresson has seemingly dropped down the pecking order after the arrival of experienced goalkeeper David Button who joins Dean Bouzanis and Coniah Boyce-Clark in the goalkeeping ranks.
The 21-year-old has had loan spells with Hungerford Town, Exeter City, Morcambe and Steveange.
He has won one cap for Iceland’s senior team, but has yet to make a senior appearance for Reading.
