Reading Football Club have confirmed that club captain Andy Yiadom has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Royals.
The right-back will be extending his stay with a one-year deal and joins senior players Lewis Wing and Joel Pereira having committed their futures to the club.
The 33-year-old first joined Reading in 2018 and has since racked up 222 appearances in the blue and white hoops.
Yiadom suffered an injury ravaged campaign last year where he only made 14 League One appearances, however he now joins up with the squad for pre-season in an effort to get fit for the start of the 2025/26 season.
Club Chairman, Rob Couhig, commented: “We are truly excited to have Andy extend his career with the Club. The last year of rehabilitation has been difficult.
“However, he demonstrated he is a true professional. He worked hard, supported his teammates, and demonstrated a commitment to his craft. He seems ready to go and we are certainly ready to have him helping the club reach its goals.
Reading manager Noel Hunt, added: “Yids’ impact both on and off the pitch is second to none, and we are delighted to have him signed up for another season.
“Last year was tough for him, but he came back strongly in the second half of the season and is back for pre-season looking fresh and ready for the fight.”
