A SPORTS team has had their facilities vandalised.
According to a social media post, Reading City Football Club staff came in on Wednesday to find their changing rooms at The Rivermoor, Scours Lane, “trashed”, with piping stolen and water left running.
The side had secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Holyport FC the previous night.
Staff, players and fans went home delighted as the Cityzens claimed all three points thanks to a last-minute penalty save.
The euphoria was short-lived, however, as the club learned of the damage to its ground.
Of the incident, first team manager Simon Johnson tweeted: “Honestly. Repeat occurrence. Absolute scum of the earth.”
