READING Buses has welcomed a festive icon to kickstart its seasonal celebrations.
The company welcomed Father Christmas this week as they began a two-week celebration.
The festivities will see employees encouraged to don Christmas jumpers Santa hats, tinsels, and other festive adornments, as well as making donations to its charity of the year, Royal Berkshire Charity.
Robert Williams, Reading Buses’ Chief Executive Officer, said: “Festive Fortnight is our employees’ chance to bring a little bit of Christmas cheer.
“Some will come to work in Christmas jumpers, others may opt for a bit of subtle tinsel, and one is a full-on Santa. It’s all in aid of raising a few smiles, and a few pounds for the Royal Berks Charity.”
“We were also delighted to welcome Santa back into our driver pool again this year — he has been driving some of our buses for the last few days and will continue to do so up to Christmas Eve as his elves are more than capable of planning his important work during Christmas Eve night!”
“If any of our customers would like to donate to the Royal Berks Charity themselves, they can do so by texting 5BUS to 70085 to donate £5.”
