Reading Biscuit Factory set to celebrate fourth birthday

AN INDEPENDENT cinema in Reading is celebrating is fourth anniversary next week.

Reading Biscuit Factory is marking its fourth birthday with a flurry of events including comedy, music, film, and theatre.

In collaboration with Certain Sounds Records, the venue will be hosting Stax of Wax, which will feature live music and vinyl DJs, as well as a record shop.

La Mort Subite, Kito Riley, and Holly & Silver will be performing live alongside DJ Chud, Barry Manalog, Luther Andross, Ill Collins, and Baldini.

To celebrate the milestone, the venue is also welcoming back its regular comedy night, with host Dan Collins joined by Chelsea Birkby and Mark Cram on Thursday, July 31.

September will also see the return of its celebrations of short films with Ritual Offerings, a night of short folk horror films from the team behind I Scream and Dark Harvest, and curated by Stephen Graves.

Stax of Wax takes place at Reading Biscuit Factory on Saturday, August 2, from 11am-11pm, and is free to attend.

Ritual Offerings is showing on Saturday, September 21.
