Employee of the Year, Maddy Carson, sponsor Reading Buses
An “uplifting” shop manager “has transformed the lives of her colleagues through dedication, loyalty and thoughtfulness”.
Maddy Carson joined Nood gift shop in Caversham in August 2022 as a shop assistant.
Her nominator for Employee of the Year said: “Maddy is my other person to the duo act in our Fun Friday reels; she partners with me in co-writing and starring in the reels, as well as being editor.
“She brings joy to everyone she meets. Her reliability and outstanding performance she delivers every day is mind-blowing. It leaves us speechless.
“Maddy has risen through the ranks, brought stability to the store and won the hearts of the community,” they said.
“Maddy comes in on her day off to make sure new staff are happy and feel supported.”
Maddy even chased down a shoplifter and retrieved the stolen goods.
“I cannot say how proud and inspired I am of Maddy. We all need a Maddy in our lives,” said the nominator.
