DOZY parkers in Whitley were given a wake-up call by Thames Valley Police last week.
PCSOs and traffic wardens teamed up for a patrol of Northumberland Avenue on Friday, June 11. The aim was to encourage people to park properly.
During their visit, they gave warnings and tickets to vehicles parked on lines by zebra crossings.
In a post on social media, they warned: “This is a traffic offence. It is dangerous to park here as it blocks the view of pedestrians wanting to use the crossing, as well as other motorists on the road.”
