Police in Reading are increasing patrols on local bus routes as part of efforts to improve community safety.
Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (South) will be carrying out more visible patrols on buses across the area, Thames Valley Police said.
The force said the initiative is aimed at reassuring passengers, deterring crime and giving residents the opportunity to speak directly to officers about any concerns.
Police added that officers on patrol would be available to answer questions from passengers and engage with members of the public during their journeys.
Thames Valley Police said the increased patrols form part of its wider neighbourhood policing work across Reading.
