Reading College assault: Heavy armed police presence with search ongoing

THAMES Valley Police has confirmed that an assault has taken place at Reading College, central Reading, today.

Members of the public are being warned to stay away from the area, and search activity is still ongoing following the incident.

Armed officers are supporting those efforts, and a visible police presence will remain in place while officers work to bring the incident to a close.

A police helicopter was observed around the incident.

A boy is reported to have sustained injuries but is receiving medical treatment.

Thames Valley Police said in a statement: “We are aware of an assault with injury in Kings Road, Reading.
