THAMES Valley Police confirmed that an assault took place at Reading College, central Reading, yesterday (Thursday, November 06).

Members of the public were warned to stay away from the area while search activity was ongoing following the incident.

Armed officers supported those efforts, and a visible police presence will remain in place while officers work to bring the incident to a close.

A police helicopter was observed around the incident.

A boy is reported to have sustained nen-life-threatening injuries but is receiving medical treatment.

Thames Valley Police said in a statement: “We are aware of an assault with injury in Kings Road, Reading.
