EMERGENCY services are responding to an incident in east Reading.

A car has been overturned in De Beauvoir Road, near Cemetery Junction, with Thames Valley Police responding at just after 11am on Thursday.

It is unclear as to what happened, but the driver was able to safely exit the car, a Vauxhall Astra, and appeared to be uninjured.

A parked car, a silver BMW, was damaged in the incident. The front of the vehicle on the driver’s side was severely dented. No one was in it at the time.

Police closed the road, a one-way street between London Road and Erleigh Road, to allow them to conduct an investigation, and to let the vehicle be safely removed.

Eyewitnesses suggested the vehicle had been travelling at speed, but this was not confirmed by police.
