Part of Oxford Road in Reading was sealed off by police in the early hours of this morning following reports of an assault.
The incident happened around 1.15am at The White Eagle pub.
A man in his 30s was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of an assault at The White Eagle pub in Oxford Road, Reading, at around 1.15am on Saturday, September 16.
“The victim, a man in his thirties, suffered facial injuries and was treated at hospital but has since been discharged.
“Anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230415649.
