THAMES Valley Police is appealing for information following an assault in Reading on Monday, February 19.
Police received reports of an assault on a bus while travelling along the Kings Road at around 4.45pm.
They are urging anyone who may have information or footage of the incident to come forward.
“Thames Valley Police received a report of an assault at around 4.45pm yesterday (19/2) on Kings Road, Reading. A man assaulted another passenger on a bus.
“If anyone has any footage from the area or any information about the incident that took place, please contact the force by reporting on our website or by calling 101, quoting investigation reference number 43240079882.”
A spokesperson for Reading Buses said: “We can confirm that an assault took place on one of our buses yesterday.
“Aggressive behaviour is rare, but completely unacceptable and we are doing everything possible to ensure that the individual is held to account for their actions, including providing CCTV to the police who attended the scene.
“Incidents such as this are incredibly rare thanks to the deterrent of extensive CCTV throughout the vehicle and the calmness and training of all our drivers.”
