THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Reading.
At around 9pm on, Thursday, June 5, the victim, a woman in her thirties, was pushed up Langley Hill against her will by her former partner.
He also pushed her up against a wall, grabbing her by the throat.
She was uninjured.
There were a number of passing cars and some of the drivers tried to intervene but the offender intimidated them and they retreated.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Jen Jenkins, of the Domestic Abuse Investigation Team, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with us.
“Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
