THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a teenager in Reading sustained head injuries during an incident of grievous bodily harm.
It follows an incident which took place in Alphington Road between 10.15pm and 11pm on Wednesday, December 27.
The victim, a boy in his teensm sustained injuries to his head during an altercation, and was subsequently taken to hospital.
He remains there in a serious condition undergoing treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward to aid their investigation.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Matthew Rees, based at Reading police station, said: “We believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public but I understand people may have concerns and I encourage you to discuss these with any of our uniformed officers.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who has dash-cam or phone footage from the area around the time that it happened, to please get in touch.
