THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Reading which left a woman with a broken eye socket.

At around 2pm on Sunday, March 23, a man and a woman were engaged in an argument on Coley Hill, when the man began poking and punching the woman in the face.

The victim, in her 30s, received a broken eye socket and upper cheek bone in the incident.

She was treated in hospital for her injuries, but has since been discharged.

Detective Sergeant Alexander Willis said: “I am appealing for any witnesses and anyone with information about this assault to come forward.

“I would also urge any drivers with a dash0cam who were driving in the Coley Hill area at the time, or anyone with CCTV or video doorbells nearby, to check their recordings in case they have captured anything that might help our investigation.
