POLICE are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault in Reading.
At around 12.05am on Friday, December 15, the offender threw a cup on the floor in The Blagrave Arms pub, Blagrave Street, leading to a verbal argument between the offender and security staff.
A member of the public approached them and spoke to them, but they were then punched in the face by the offender multiple times.
The offender, who then fled, is described as a white man with brown hair and a brown beard, around 6ft in height, and wearing a navy blue shirt with a black jacket.
Investigating officer PC Steve Dowling said: “I would like to appeal to anybody in the pub who may have witnessed this or has any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.
“I would like to appeal for the member of the public who approached the victim. They are described as a white man wearing a tan coloured hoodie.
