POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a public order incident after a man was seen threatening others with a knife in Reading.
Thames Valley Police is looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, where, at around 9pm on Saturday, September 2, the victim, a man in his thirties, witnessed another man threatening passers-by with a knife while walking along Oxford Road.
The man then swore at the victim and thrusted the knife towards him before making off to an address in Oxford Road.
The offender is described as an Asian man aged in his late twenties, around 5ft 6ins in height and of medium build, with curly black hair and stubble.
He was wearing a cream shirt and dark grey trousers, and appeared “as if he had been sleeping rough.”
Investigating officer PC Christopher Wild, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information which could help our investigation, to get in touch.
