READING Stanza’s Poets’ Cafe is back for its monthly meeting of Berkshire’s bards and renowned guest poets.

Host Claire Dyer will be joined by performance poet and writer Emma Purshouse for this month’s event.

Purshouse has supported the likes of Carol Ann Duffy and John Hegely, as well as performing at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, Shambala, Womad, and Latitude festivals.

The event also welcomes open mic readers, including first-timers.

Poets’ Cafe takes place from 8pm at South Street Arts Centre, South Street, on Friday, October 13, and again on the second Friday of each month.

Tickets available on entry, costing £4 for readers and £5 for non-participants.
