Why can’t I run around like other dogs do?
I don’t even choose where’s the best place to poo!
They’re chasing, they’re sniffing, but me I just walk,
They’re bounding, they’re jumping and oh, they can stalk!
You yanked on the lead when I tried to say ‘Hi’
I’m missing so much as we just walk on by.
Let me free, let me run, I’ll do as I’m told,
I’d be tired, I’d be happy, there’d be no need to scold.
Those two on the field were having such fun
And when they were called they went straight to their Mum.
I’m sure I could learn if you’d show me the way
Oh please won’t you let me – I just want to play.
