Reading FC ensured they would take the fight for the final play-off place to the final day as they defeated Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Play-off rivals Leyton Orient also won their game, beating Wycombe Wanderers, who will now also be in the play-offs.
Heading into the final day, Reading and Orient are both level on 75 points, but Orient have a +8 better goal difference.
After a below par first-half performance which saw goalkeeper Joel Pereira keep his side in the game, Noel Hunt’s men bucked their ideas up in the second 45.
A flowing move saw Charlie Savage perfectly stroke the ball into the path of Lewis Wing who blasted his shot past the keeper to open the scoring.
Chem Campbell then ensured the points would be coming back to Reading with a stoppage time goal to make it 2-0.
