Reading FC ended their League One campaign with a comeback victory at home to Blackpool.

After going a goal behind after four minutes, the Royals turned the game around with a header from Sam Smith and goals from Harvey Knibbs and Femi Azeez to take the points.

With a crowd of more than 18,000 in attendance at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, the Royals fans were treated to another impressive display as the team adorned next season’s new home kit.

After a turbulent season off the pitch, Ruben Selles has guided the team to League One safety two games prior to the end of the campaign.

The win put Reaidng onto 53 points where they finish in 17th, nine points above the drop zone despite being deducted six points.

The Royals fans will be hoping to have even more to celebrate in the coming weeks with new ownership on the horizon as Dai Yongge’s seven year spell as owner is getting closer to coming to an end.
