Pangbourne Rotary Club has welcomed Ted Millichap as a new member.

Ted, a retired banker and financial advisor, hails from Purley and was drawn to Pangbourne Rotary by seeing a copy of their booklet ‘A Year in the Life of Pangbourne Rotary’ in a library.

Ted was sponsored by Dean Chamberlain, and John Littleford, their most recent member, introduced Ted to the “Objects of Rotary”.

President Brian Davies then inducted Ted to Rotary.

Ted is looking forward to contributing to the Club’s activities and is already earmarked for a stint, along with 20 other members of Pangbourne Rotary Club, at their next fund-raiser, Dragon Boat racing at the Pangbourne Fete on Saturday, June 8.

Members congratulated Ted on becoming a member.

Ted is the 15th new member to join the Rotary in less than six years, 13 of whom are still with Rotary.

Pangbourne Rotary Club said: “We must be doing something right, we are a fun-loving, hard -working Club with a traditional base of under 30 members, so if you would like to come and join us, raising over £30000 per annum from our fund-raising events to donate to charity, please contact Brian Davies.
