A BOROUGH charitable organisation has been busy this month.
Members of the Pangbourne Rotary Club have taken part in a number of community events in November.
Six volunteers from the Pangbourne club planted 500 crocus corms in the flowerbeds at the village hall car park.

When they flower in spring, the purple crocuses will publicise the club’s worldwide campaign to battle polio.
Donations to the campaign will go towards providing every child with a polio vaccine, aiming to eliminate the disease forever.
Rotary members also volunteered as marshals at a firework display run by the Friends of Pangbourne Primary School.

Finally, Remembrance Sunday saw three of the group’s members join Pangbourne’s parade and service.
Founder Member Clive Williams OBE laid a wreath on behalf of the club, which had been donated by the family of the recently deceased Founder Member Ron Jones.

Pangbourne Rotary Club is open to new members.
