A TAKE-OUT restaurant in Reading is looking to expand its opening hours with a new premises application.
Zaika The Paan Shop on Oxford Road is looking to serve food until 2am, and has applied to Reading Borough Council to extend its opening hours accordingly.
The restaurant has been owned and operated by Reeda and Muhammed Chaudhry for 18 months, specialising in authentic Pakistani and Indian cuisine such as biryani, nihari, and lamb curry.
They also offer burgers and doner kebabs, made fresh on site each day.
Reeda said “My husband has over ten years of experience working in restaurants in London and we are delighted to now have our own business serving great traditional Asian food.”
“We have made the application for a licence in order that we can cater for customers working late and those returning home from a night out in the town centre and want a take away meal”.
Members of the public can comment on the application by emailing
licensing@gov.uk, with the deadline for comments being the 16 th November.
