YOUNGSTERS are set to enjoy a series of al fresco screenings of their favourite wildlife-themed movies.
The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) will welcome visitors to its garden’s outdoor cinema for films such as Peter Rabbit, Shaun the Sheep and A Bug’s Life.
Ticket-holders will be provided with headphones with which they can hear the audio and control the volume. It is not possible to hear the film without these.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic and blanket to sit on, although there will be bean bags available on a first come first served basis.
There will be six films shown, the programme is as follows: A Bug’s Life, August 2; Fantastic Mr Fox, August 3; Peter Rabbit, August 4; Wall-E, August 9; A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, August 10; and Encanto, August 11.
The museum is open from 9am-5pm and entry is free of charge. Those attending the movies are welcome to explore the exhibits as part of their visit.
All screenings start at 11am, with tickets costing £6 per person. These can be purchased online.
