A DISCOUNT retailer will be moving to a bigger site for its flagship store in Reading, complete with a garden centre.

B&M is to close its existing store on Saturday, August 19, then, just seven days later, it will cut the ribbon to its new home elsewhere in Brunel Retail Park.

The company says the move follows feedback from regular shoppers who said they wanted a bigger shop and more products.

The new home for B&M is the former Next store, which has more than 22,826 sq ft of sales space, and a 7,395sqft garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening products. Inside will be sections devoted to groceries, toiletries, health and beauty, toys, homeware, and DIY.

The store manager at B&M Brunel, said: “We wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big, branded products.”

“We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store and garden centre, we’re really excited to get the doors open very soon.”
