An objection from Reading Borough Council to plans for the new headquarters building of European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts in Earley will be considered despite arriving after the end of the consultation period.
The objection from Reading Borough Council was sent to Wokingham Borough Council following the Reading planning applications meeting on Wednesday, December 6.
The consultation period ended on November 9.
The objection stated that the government property agency had failed to properly assess future trip generations, and that the loss of existing parking could result in unauthorised on-street parking in surrounding roads.
A spokesperson for Wokingham Borough Council told Wokingham Today: “We can take comments into account after the consultation deadline and, in this instance, we’ll be including the late comments in the report for this site when it’s ready to go to the planning committee.”
