A MAN from Northern Ireland has been charged with raping a woman in her 30s in Reading.
The alleged incident took place around 11.15pm on Thursday, April 27, on the Oxford Road.
The victim did not know her attacker.
Thames Valley Police arrested Ciprian Spanu, 37 and of Deerfin Road, Ballymena, Northern Ireland, on Friday, April 28.
He was charged with rape on Saturday, April 29, and he remains in custody.
He will appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 2.
