Comedian Nish Kumar has announced a date in Reading at The Hexagon as part of his newly revealed 2026 UK tour.
The show, titled Angry Humour From a Really Nice Guy, will see the award-winning stand-up perform in the Berkshire town during the tour, which begins in Belfast on 9 September and follows the success of his recent worldwide run.
The tour marks Kumar’s return to live comedy with a new set drawing on politics, global instability and his reflections on entering his 40s. Tickets for the Reading performance will go on pre-sale on Wednesday 28 January, ahead of general sale on Friday 30 January.
Kumar, who is best known for his sharp political humour, said the show was shaped by what he described as a period of growing division and uncertainty. “The world was ending,” he said in a statement. “Stand-up comedy was the only thing that made sense to me.”
The comedian is a familiar face to BBC audiences, having previously hosted The Mash Report and Late Night Mash on BBC Two. He is also a regular guest on programmes including Live at the Apollo, QI and Have I Got News For You, and currently co-hosts the political podcast Pod Save the UK.
His most recent tour, Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe, ran throughout 2024 and 2025 and played to sold-out crowds across the UK and internationally. Critics praised the show for combining high-energy political satire with more personal material about mental health and modern life.
Kumar has performed six solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and has twice been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. He has also been named one of the 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century by The Guardian and The Telegraph.
The Reading date forms part of a wider UK tour, with further venues to be confirmed.
