A READING road has been closed following a water leak.
Newark Street, off London Road, has been cordoned off by Thames Water, with a portion of the residential road covered in water.
Signage on the barriers erected by the water company suggests the closure will be in place until October 12.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We responded to reports of a water leak on Newark Street in Reading on Tuesday, October 10.
“Our engineers began work to repair the leak the same day and we expect this to be completed in the coming days. During this time a road closure will be in place and we are sorry to residents for any disruption caused.”
