A new men’s flexi football league for over 30’s with the aim of raising awareness for mental health is set to be launched
Despite being aimed at over 30’s, each team will be permitted to play with four 25-30 year-olds per match.
Games will be played every three weeks, either on Saturday’s or Sunday’s with a venue provided for social teams that wish to participate but do not have a home ground.
The league will be aiming to raise funds for www.milesformiles.net and will also have mental health therapists to provide sessions from £20 per person.
They said: “So far the Miles4miles project has raised more than £15,000 and has provided a total of 606 mental health therapy sessions for children.
“Having enjoyed a few charitable matches, m4s vets have taken it upon themselves to set up a charity league.
“The members of this league will make a difference to both children’s and men’s mental health and we hope to have more social teams jump on board.”
