LOCAL residents are invited to attend a community craft and small business event taking place for the first time in Emmer Green, Reading.
The free event will showcase a variety of talented local makers, creatives, and independent businesses, offering the public an opportunity to shop small and support local.
Event organiser, Victoria Read, who owns Bit By Bit For You, handcrafted gifts & keepsakes, said: “It’s all about bringing small businesses together and building something special within our community.
“There is so much talent locally, and I wanted to create a space where the public can meet the people behind the businesses, discover unique products, and truly see what our community has to offer.
“We want to connect, support and give back – and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone on the day.”
Visitors can expect a diverse range of handmade crafts, unique gifts, and locally produced items, from handcrafted keepsakes and fragrant perfumes to colourful Indian bindis made in Mumbai.
Baked goods can be enjoyed on the day or taken away for later, created by passionate entrepreneurs from the surrounding area.
Vendors will include Bit By Bit For You, Eternelle Stitchery, Cats Creations Cupcakes & Cookies, Lalata Bindis, LarenaDoula and L&S Resin Art.
Organised with community spirit at its heart, the event aims to celebrate local talent while encouraging residents to discover and support the small businesses on their doorstep.
With free entry and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, it promises to be an enjoyable afternoon for all ages.
Everyone is welcome.
The event will take place at the Emmer Green Community Centre, on Saturday, March 28, from 2pm until 5pm.
