THE Tardis is to materialise in Winnersh next month as a cinema gears up to celebrate the worldwide premiere of this year’s Doctor Who season finale.
The BBC show, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Time Lord, has just returned to television screens. This year, due to a tie-up with Disney+, new episodes are being released around midnight on Friday night into Saturday morning.
So to mark the end of this year’s series, the final two episodes are being shown in cinemas across the country, including the Showcase De Lux in Winnersh.
The first story is called The Legend of Ruby Sunday, and starts at 11pm on Friday, June 21.
From battling the Bogeyman to surviving the treacherous battlefield of Kastarion 3, the journey of Ruby Sunday and Dr Who has led them to a top-secret mission at UNIT headquarters.
What secrets await them there?
The second part of the double bill is Empire of Death, and said to be one of the scariest and most shocking episodes in the entire 60-year history of the show.
Russell T Davies, the showrunner, says there has been decades of planning behind this story, and is the culmination of storytelling unlike anything else ever seen in the show.
Guests can purchase tickets through the Showcase Cinemas website here and prepare for an unforgettable experience that will leave them on the edge of their seat until the very end.
