Yuan Yang, MP for Early and Woodley, paid a visit to Woodley Lunch Bunch on Tuesday.
The charity was founded in 2020, and serves 160 children across Woodley with packed lunches during school holidays.
Lunch Bunch said they’ve seen a 150% increase in families needing such food packages between 2020 and 2023 – a number which has held steady into this summer.
Yuan helped get food packages ready for delivery.
She emphasised her aim of working to reduce the need for charities, such as Woodley Lunch Bunch, in the constituency.
Her visit to Woodley Lunch Bunch followed a visit to ReadiFood the previous day.
