READING WEST and Mid Berkshire MP Olivia Bailey has visited a school in West Reading to congratulate the winners of a festive competition this week.

On, Friday, December 5, she visited Ranikhet Academy in West Reading to meet the winner and runners-up of her Christmas card competition and congratulate them on their entries into the competition.

Ms Bailey will be sending cards to schools, charities, community groups, businesses, and public service organisations across the constituency.

The winning entry, of a snowman was designed by Timmy, an Early Years pupil at the school.

The three runners up were designed by Stasio in Year 2, Gabriella in Year 6, and Ayesha in Year 5.

Olivia Bailey MP said: “Huge congratulations to Timmy, Stasio, Gabriella and Ayesha for their amazing artwork.

“It was a really difficult choice to pick winners as there were so many fantastic designs. I want to thank all of the pupils at Ranikhet who took part and also a big thanks to the staff for their support and encouragement.”

Kirsty Davies, Deputy Headteacher at Ranikhet Academy said, “I was delighted that so many pupils took part in Olivia’s Christmas card competition, and they all worked really hard on their designs.

“It was great that Olivia was able to visit this morning to congratulate the winners–they were all really excited to receive their prizes.”
