THE Friends of Reading Abbey are to explore the theme of Monks, Miracles and Memory when they gather on Saturday.
The group will be at St James’ Roman Catholic Church in Forbury Road for the annual Brian Kemp Memorial Lecture.
The guest speaker will be Professor Helen Parish who will talk about what happened when the abbey was dissolved.
The event takes place from 2.30pm and entry is free. There will be a retiring collection.
