THE MET Office has issued an amber warning of heatwaves across the south of England.
As of Thursday, August 11, extreme heat is expected across most of the south, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-30s through Sunday, August 14.
The warning stretches from Plymouth to Canterbury, and as far north as Manchester.
An amber warning means that adverse health effects are likely to be felt by those vulnerable to extreme heat, and the wider population is likely to experience some health effects, such as sun burn.
The MET Office also advises that working practises and daily routines are likely to be disrupted.
