READING’S regular stand-up show is returning with its latest offering of live comedy.

Mates Rates is back at the Purple Turtle for its regular stand-up showcase with headline performer Will Hannigan.

Hannigan started performing comedy aged 18 and began touring throughout Canada with his characteristically conversational style.

He discusses personal topics such as his career, his family, and experiences (and subsequent recovery) from alcoholism.

He’s performed at events such as Grindstone Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs NorthWest, and London’s Comedy Carnival.

He’ll be joined by Dan Collins, who hosts, and Reading’s resident MC Carl Richard.
