Man’s body found in Lower Earley

Police are appealing for information

THE BODY of a man has been recovered from a field in Lower Earley.

Thames Valley Police said the man’s next of kin have been informed and receiving support from trained officers.

They are not treating his death as suspicious.

Officers were called to land near Illfracombe Way, off Toseland Way on Monday, February 28.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a body being seen near to Ilfracombe Way, Lower Earley, yesterday morning (28/2).

“Sadly, officers located the man’s body.

“The man’s next of kin have been made aware and are being offered support by officers.”

The spokesperson continued: “The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

“The thoughts of Thames Valley Police are with the family of the man at this difficult time.”
