A MAN has been jailed for rape, child cruelty, and other offences in Reading.
Andrew Caldria, aged 37 and of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 20 years in prison at a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Friday, May 24.
He was also issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life and a restraining order in relation to his victims.
It follows a hearing at the same court on Tuesday, April 2, at which a jury found Cladria guilty of five counts of sexual assault of a female under the age of 13, a count of rape of a female over 16, and two counts each of child cruelty and assault causing actual bodily harm
The jury also found Caldria guilty by majority verdict of one count each of rape of a female over 16 on at least five occasions and attempted rape of a female under 13.
He was unanimously acquitted of two further counts each of rape of a female over 16 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one further count of rape of a female over 16 on at least five occasions.
Caldria was charged with the offences which relate to three victims on October 17 last year.
