A man from Reading has been jailed for drug offences.

Malachi Caesar, aged 22, of Strathy Close, Reading was sentenced to three years in prison at Reading Crown Court on Friday, October 18..

He pleaded guilty to one count of concern in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin, at the same court.

At around 5.35am on Thursday, August 31, 2023, officers carried out a Section 8 warrant at Caesar’s home address and recovered three phones, one containing a drugs line number, and one containing mass messages advertising class A drugs.

This drugs line was running in Reading between January 31, 2023 and May 20, 2023.

Investigating officer PC Chris Boylan, based at Reading Police Station, said: “We will proactively target and prosecute offenders and our activity will be both visible and covert, aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.
