A MAN in his 30s was stabbed outside a Tilehurst pub yesterday evening, after an argument inside it earlier that afternoon.
Now, Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident took place around 4.55pm on Saturday, February 12, outside The Victoria pub on Norcot Road.
Officers said that the man had been in the pub earlier in the day and got into the row with another person there.
Police said that just before 5pm, the victim was standing outside the pub when two men arrived and starting a fight with him.
In the process, they stabbed him and then fled the scene in the direction of Armour Road.
The victim was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he remains with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The pub has since reopened.
A 37-year-old man from Thatcham has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody at this time.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Rich Jarvis, of Reading CID, said: “I am appealing to anybody who was in the area of the Victoria Public House at around the time of the incident who witnessed what happened to get in touch with police.
