Maiden Erlegh School has announced an ‘exceptional performance’ in this year’s GCSE examinations.

The school praised its students’ hard work and dedication which they say have resulted in outstanding achievements across all subjects.

These results reflect the determination and resilience of our students, supported by a dedicated team of teachers and staff. Once again, the school has seen a significant increase on pre-CoVID results which shows how hard they, and the staff, are working.

In addition 84% of students achieved 5 grade 4’s and above.

The school has also congratulated its Year 10’s who achieved amazing results in their Religion and Philosophy GCSE. 82% of grades were 4+, 76% 5+ and 51% 7+.

Mr Gibson, Headteacher, said: “As my last cohort going through GCSE before I leave, I could not be prouder of their achievements. These students had their foundations of secondary education disrupted by CoVID so to gain so many great grades is a phenomenal achievement. Well done Class of 2024!’.
