LUTON TOWN manager Rob Edwards has responded to transfer speculation after Reading pair Nelson Abbey and Tom Holmes were linked with a move to the Hatters.

The Premier League side are reportedly keen on securing a double swoop for the defensive pair with Reading in financial trouble.

However, following Luton’s 1-1 draw at Burnley on Friday night, Edwards dismissed that any deals are close.

He said: “Nothing at the moment, no nothing to add at all.

“I’m not sure where that information’s come from at the moment.

“I think it’s really important that whoever we bring in is going to help the group, but it’s quiet and the quieter the better for us really.
