A man from London has been jailed for drugs and driving offences that took place in Reading.
Nickanar Witter, 26 and of College Green in London, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, July 1, after pleading guilty to charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, driving while uninsured, and driving without a licence.
He was sentenced to two years and nine months’ imprisonment.
Officers had stopped a vehicle in Waverley Road, Reading, at around 10.30pm on Sunday, April 4 this year. Witter was inside and had a stash of the Class A drugs.
Investigating officer, PC Richard Flitcroft, of Reading police station, said: “Nickanar Witter has pleaded guilty to these offences and has been sentenced accordingly at Reading Crown Court.
“This was an excellent stop by our officers and should serve as a reminder that Thames Valley Police will not tolerate the presence of Class A drugs in our communities.
“Thames Valley Police has a zero-tolerance approach against those involved in county line dealing and I am pleased that Witter will now serve time in prison for his actions.
